The challenge

Analytic Partners builds marketing analytics for global brands, which meant the product had to make genuinely complex data legible to people who are not analysts. The flagship product was aging on Angular and the interface had accumulated the kind of complexity that hides insight rather than revealing it.

There was a second problem underneath the first. Data analysts, marketers, and business leadership were not aligned on what was being built or when. Documentation and specification were inconsistent, which produced miscommunication and delay.

The approach

As one of two designers on client facing product teams, I led end to end design on the analytics tools and internal platforms. That meant simplifying AI driven data visualization so insight was accessible to global clients, and building a unified design system so the product stayed consistent as it grew.

I also pushed for structural changes in how the team worked. Formal review processes, documented standards, and more prototyping and iterative development, which required a shift in culture as much as in tooling.

The solution

  • A full rebuild of the flagship product from Angular to React, modernizing both the technology and the interface.
  • Advanced analytics and reporting with dashboards that present data in a form people can act on rather than merely read.
  • A real time insights platform and streamlined data ingestion workflows, cutting turnaround so clients including Levi's could make faster decisions.
  • A unified design system covering the data heavy interfaces across the product, keeping visual and interaction patterns consistent as the platform expanded.

The outcome

The rebuild drove three years of increased engagement and contributed 13 million dollars in additional revenue. Modernizing the legacy software produced 25 percent year over year revenue growth and broader adoption among internal and external users. Data collection time dropped 85 percent. Marketing ROI for clients improved 20 percent.
